Deer Repellent

Deer a problem? Most everyone we talk to has deer munching away on their landscape. What do you do? What do you use to repel them? What plants can you use that they won't seem to find appetizing? We have the answers to all of these questions.

We are the only retailer in Licking County to carry a product called Plantskydd. This spray has a fantastic residual quality that allows this product to stay on after many many rains. Tested in the forests of Oregon by the forestry service, this product will last 4 months even with a sufficiant amount of rainfall. What does that mean to you? No tromping out to your landscape to reapply this product time and time again. It comes in a ready to use spray bottle or save and buy the powder and mix yourself. We also have another deer repellent that we use on the premises. It is called Milorganite. It is a granular fertilizer with a low analysis 6-2-0. Just broad cast it out onto your plant beds and the deer will leave it alone. Now the bag doesn't say anything about repelling deer but we have used this for 3 years straight and so far we are able to keep using it without them getting use to it. They have totally eaten hydrangea to the pot and after the milorganite has been applied we were able to watch it grow and bloom.
